Lad almost the ‘mane’ attraction at safari park

A curious toddler was close to becoming served up as a ‘mane’ course when he leant out of a car window just yards from a male lion at the Woburn Safari Park.
The young boy twice poked his head out of the back window of his family’s estate car to glance around the lion enclosure on Friday afternoon.
His parents and young sister were so engrossed by the lions they appeared not to notice the young lad’s antics.
Amateur photographer Pete Fletcher, of Hemel Hempstead, who was in the car behind took a picture of the boy with a zoom lens through his windscreen.
He said: “He could easily have fallen out or been dragged out and pounced on.”
